Lottery Community Building Fund
In the last Newsletter you may remember I indicated that by now we should have been told whether we had been successful in our Stage 1 application for £381,000 from the Lottery. Unfortunately, we have been informed recently that the decision has been deferred until mid June. However, we are still very hopeful that we will get into the next round. Keep praying.
Funding Activities
Since our last Newsletter we have had three fundraising events.
The Table Top Sale on 3rd March raised an amazing £415. Thanks to Denise for organising the event and all those who assisted and took part.
Dawn's Easter Lunch contributed £190 and the singalong and meal was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Dawn and her helpers.
A second Table Top Sale on 12th May raised another £429. Thanks again to Denise and everyone who helped.
Future events that are being arranged include:
The "Catherine Cookson" annual event will take place this year on 7th July. Contributions of any good quality cuddly toys or any items suitable for a tombola would be gratefully received by either Dawn or Denise.
Joan Taylor is presently arranging a "Strawberry Tea". More details will be announced later.
