At the Church AGM on Thursday we discussed and decided on various items, below are a few top liners.

• Diaconate - Alan Turnbull and Alan Brown were elected to the Diaconate
• Gift day - 2007 - Rev Jonathon Edwards General Secretary Baptist Union 15/16th Sept.
• NBA Spring Assembly 28th April Stockton Tabernacle 10.00-3.45 - If you would like to attend please speak to me.
• Ministers Sabbatical. Graham is planning on a sabbatical in the early part of 2008. This is where a Minister isgiven a period of time, from 1 to 3 months, away from the day to day Ministry, to allow them time to enrich their Ministry and make it more effective, which benefits both the Minister and the Church. During this time the Minister will receive his salary. Graham's suggestion to the fellowship is to be on Sabbatical from 1st February to the 30th April. His main project will be to study the cross cultural differences between fellowships in this country and those in the Philippines. This would include a trip ti the Philippines of approx 4 weeks. It has also been suggested to Graham that he considers the culturals within our own country, ie the pub culture, the youth culture, etc and how we can encourage these people to be part of our fellowship. As a Church we have already agreed within Graham's contract that we will consider and sanction the project and its time span. Over the coming weeks graham will give us more information and insight into his sabbatical project, this will be at services and with sermons.
