Summer is here.........Or is it.

Well we hope that next Saturday 7th July is a good day as this is the Cookson Festival and the Building Project has a stall at Bents Park.

On Saturday 14th July, there is a Stawberry Tea in the Church from 2 till 4. Tickets are available from Joan Taylor £2.50.

Don't forget the Church Day Out on Sunday 15th July. Following the morning service we will have a short journey to Saltwell Park in Gateshead. Lunch and a time of fellowship will be enjoyed and a warm welcome is given to all. There will be an evening service at Church.

Date for your diary - Gift Weekend 15th and 16th Sept. Guest speaker Rev Jonathon Edwards, Baptist Union General Secretary. We are planning an event on the Saturday evening. Lunch will follow the Sunday morning service which will lead onto an afternoon event. More details will be given as we get nearer the event. Gifts received will be used to refurbish the toilets in the vestibule.

Graham Kendrick is performing at Morpeth Leisure Centre on Monday 24th Sept. at 7.30pm. Tickets are available, priced £9, from Lifestyle Christian Books in Morpeth. More information on the noticeboard in the schoolroom.

Ian Taylor informed the Church on Thursday evening that our grant application to the Big Lottery had not been successful. However this does not mean that we are not continuing with the Project. Ian is looking at possible ways forward and will meet with the Diaconate at the July Meeting. Our thanks go to Ian for his hard work in compiling the grant application.

Brenda informed the Church Meeting that if you pay Income Tax and you Gift Aid your offering, the Church will get an extra 28p for every £ you give. If you would like to know more please speak to Brenda.
