On Thursday 4th May the Church will be utilised as a polling station for the Local Elections. The Church will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm during which time a vast amount of people will be using our premises, some may not have been before and some will not even know that it is a Church. We will be placing copies of the Church "Welcome Pack" in the vestibule to let people know who and what we are.
There is a Building Project Lunch Event on Saturday 13th May 11.00am - 1.00pm. Speak with Dawn for more details.
Christian Aid Week this year is 14th-20th May. Have you noticed the poster in the Church? As normal we will hold a congregation collection, envelopes will be available on the 14th and can be placed in the offering bags on the 14th/21st. I am also looking for door to door collectors, if you can offer your services for this good cause please speak to me.
Thanks to all those who have donated to the photocopier appeal, to date we have received £700.00 in donations and pledges. Unfortunately the copier that we were looking at has been sold. However, don't worry, the suppliers get models in all the time and will let us know when they receive a suitable model.
Next Saturday the Deacons are holding an Away Day at Bede's World. The sessions will be facilitated by Rev. John Claydon, N.B.A. Regional Minister.
Items for the summer issue of the Church Magazine are to be handed to Denise by Sunday 4th June.
We will be joined by friends from St. Lawrence and Holy Rosary on the evening of 4th June when we hold our joint Pentecost Service.
