June 2006 Edition

Our Raise The Roof Fund to purchase tiles for the new extension building has already received donations totaling £3948, which allows us to have 789 tiles. Included in the total is an anonymous donation of £1000 from someone who was connected with the fellowship. Thanks to all who have supported the project and if you need anymore information or would like to give a donation please speak to David Hoskins

The June Interim Church Meeting will be held on Thursday 15th June at 7.30pm. Items for Any Other Business need to be given to me by Sunday 11th June.

We are holding another Fellowship Tea in the Church on Saturday 24th June between 2.00 and 5.00pm. The idea, as previous events, is to invite someone to the Church who was or still is connected with the Church and have the opportunity to catch up on old times. Further details are available from Alan Turnbull.

Sunday 25th June is the N.B.A. Exchange Pulpit Sunday. We will welcome Rev Gary Collier, Minister from Blackhill to the morning service and Rev Jeremy Shaw, Minister at Beacon Loughto the evening service.

There will be a Blood Donor session in the Church on Thursday 29th June.

The Church are once again having a stall at the Catherine Cookson Festival in the Bents Park on Saturday 1st July. Proceeds will go to the Raise The Roof Fund.

Sunderland Samaritans are holding a recruitment day on Saturday 10th June at 10.00am at 13 Grange Cresent, Stockton Road, Sunderland. If you would like more information please let me know.

The Church Christian Aid collection this year raised £163.97. Thanks to Joan and Ian Taylor who did a door to door collection and raised £125.52. I have sent off to Christian Aid £289.39. Thanks to all who donated toward this worthy cause.

Today is the last opportunity to give items to Denise for the Summer magazine.
