January 2006 Edition

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to 2006.

"Anyone in Christ is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come."

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Christmas card Gifts of Hope scheme - an amazing total of £312 has been sent to Samaritans Purse.

Have you got any unwanted Christmas Gifts? Don't sell them on e-bay. Why not give them to the Church to sell at a future Building Project event. Denise will be happy to take them off your hands.

The fellowship are holding another Friends Tea on Saturday 11th February 2.00 - 5.00pm. Please let me know of anyone connected with the Church in the past who you would like to invite.

Have you seen the new cupboards in the schoolroom? They were purchased with the help of a grant obtained via the Friendly Circle. They look great. Thanks to Dawn for all her hard work.

The Church AGM meeting will be held on Thursday 2nd March at 7.30pm.

If you have an item for the Easter magazine please hand it to Denise by Sunday 5th March.

Alan Turnbull, Brenda Turnbull and Pat Peel have decided that they would like to step down from the Building Project Committee. We thank them for all their efforts over the past years.
There will be a Building Fund newsletter later this month with more information on this project.

Reminder - an 8 session course entitled Speaking About God begins Thursday 12th January 7.30pm.
at Heaton Baptist Church.
