July 2005
Thanks to those who supported the Catherine Cookson Festival on Satuday 2nd July
There is a meeting arranged for Monday 4th July, 7.30 pm to discuss the arrangements for the Alpha Outreach which is taking place between the end of September and December. If you would like to be involved or just want to know more about it, you are welcome to attend.
There is a Coffee Morning arranged for Saturday 9th July 9.30-11.30am.
Donations received from the recent Gift Day, including money recovered via Gift Aid, has been added to last years Gift Day and Christmas Fayre money, and used to replace heaters in the schoolroom and Harvey Lounge.
The date for this years Christmas Fayre is Saturday 19th November. To allow the event to go ahead we need co-ordinators, if you are interested please let me know.
Don't forget the Church Day Out on sunday 17th July.
Following the morning service we will have a short journey to Herrington Burn Park - at
the foot of Penshaw Monument. Lunch and a time of fellowship will be enjoyed and a warm
welcome is given to all. There will be an evening service at Church.

I mentioned in last month's edition that we were looking to hold a
"Friends Tea", when the fellowship could invite someone to the Church who was or still is
connected with the Church, and have an opportunity to catch up on old times.
The date for the event is Saturday 21st August, 2.30-5.00pm. The final date to give me
names and addresses is approaching very quickly and I have not received many names. Please
think of people that you would like to invite and pass them on to me by the 24th July.
Items for the next issue of Church Magazine are to be handed to Denise by Sunday 21st August.
