December 05

With Christmas just around the corner, let's take a few moments to see what's been going on and what's taking place during the next few weeks.

Thanks to all who supported the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal this year. 52 shoe boxes were taken to the collection point in Jarrow. The sum of £100 was also handed in. This amount is an addition to the money enclosed in the shoe boxes. Transport costs were therefore covered and all our boxes are on there way to Romania.

Thanks to all those who supported the Christmas Fayre, which raised £2,166. A special THANK YOU goes to Jane and Rose for co-ordinating the event. The sum raised will be used to refurbish the toilets in the vestibule.

Jack and Marjorie would like to thank everyone who saved in the Church bank this year. An amount of 342,141 was saved and the interest which is going to Church funds is £619.30. If you are interested in saving in the Church bank please see Jack or Marjorie. The money is collected before the Sunday morning services.
