Tabernacle News

April 2005

Easter now seems a distant memory. However, I am glad to say that the Good Friday March was well supported by the Police and arrangements with St. Johns Ambulance to provide first aid provision worked out well.

Over the coming weeks the Church will be visited by many local residents - we have blood donor sessions arranged for the 14th and 28th April and it is possible the premises will be used as a polling station in the general election on May 5th.

Our Gift Day this year is planned for the 12th June and the guest speaker is Abel Rees. Monies given will be used to continue refurbishment of the Church heating and redecoration of the vestibule toilets.

Two Building Fund events held at the Church during this month :-

16th April       9.30-11.30. Coffee Morning

23rd April

  Peoples Mission Silver Band
Tickets including refreshments are
£3.00 per head

Two events in the Town over the coming weeks;-

16th April 7.00pm at Peoples Mission.
Inspired to Worship - A time to worship and reflect with God

Saturday 23rd April 7.00pm at Bethesda - their 128th Anniversary,
a paise evening led by
Monkwearmouth Salvation Army Songsters
