December 2004 Edition

Christmas upon us again, where does the time go. As we prepare for Christmas take a few moments to see what's been going on and what's taking place the next few weeks.

Thanks to all who donated an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox at the service on 21st November, including 24 boxes from Mortimer School we were able to deliver 88 shoe boxes to the collection point in Jarrow. you may have seen the article in the Gazette - the boxes are on their way to Eastern Europe.

Thanks to all those who supported the Christmas Fayre. We will be making donations to Feed the Minds and the Gideons. Our thanks also go to Jane and Rose for co-ordinating the event. The balance will be used to replace Church heating.

A big thank you to everyone who bought Mr. Hoskins home-made jam during 2004. Also to all those in the Church savings bank, and to Jack for banking the money.

We are delivering Christmas invitations to the neighbourhood this year and the Brownies and Anchor Boys were asked to design the cover. If you would like to help in delivering the invitations please speak to me.
