The following was agreed at the
interim Church meeting on Thursday 21st Sept.
- The Pre-school nursery group is to be launched this month - the group
have hit many problems and need your support (prayers gratefully
accepted) - if you know someone who would like information on the group
please contact Debbie Harvey.
- The Christmas Fayre this year is on Saturday 25th November - Alan
Turnbull is the convenor and in order to make the event as successful as
in other years we need people to offer their services as committee members
or stall holders - Alan is looking for willing volunteers to undertake a
vaiety of jobs - don't be shy, see him today. The meeting agreed that
moneys received from the fayre would be used to decorate the exterior of
the Church and extension.
- We are looking for deacons to join the diaconate - the conditions are
that you must be over 18 years of age and have been a member with this
Church for at least two years. If you would like to nominate a member
please hand the nomination in writing with a seconder to David by
Sunday 12th November.
- It was agreed that as a fellowship we give £250.00 to Jarrow Baptist
for their Church restoration fund.
Harvest- this year we are once
again giving tinned and household items to the Key Project sponsored by
the YMCA.
Operation Agri envelopes will be
available for donations towards this scheme which will support people
in the third world to produce their own harvest.
