A farewell evening for Stephen, Liz and the family has been arranged for Saturday 13th May at 7.OOpm. The event will start prompt 7 and will include a time of activities, buffet supper (please bring an item for the table) and a closing event with a presentation. If you would like to contribute towards the gift please forward any donations to Brenda by Sunday 7th May.

We have been invited to the induction service of Stephen at Buckminister Road in Leicester on Saturday, 3rd June. If you are intending or would like to go, please complete the tear-off slip at the foot of this page, and hand to me by Sunday 14th May at the latest We may be able to organise a minibus etc. should a good number wish to attend.

Remember we are looking for nominations for the diaconate. We have three vacancies following the change to the constitution at the AGM. Please forward names to me by Sunday 30th April.

Our gift day is arranged for Sunday 25th June, when we will welcome Peter King, Home Mission Rep for the NBA. I have had an offer of overnight accommodation for the Saturday -if you could provide Sunday lunch or tea please contact me. The Church meeting on the 11th May will consider the use of gifts received.

The building fund stands at £21,368 at present. We are looking for an additional person to stand on the Building Development Committee. If you could offer your services please speak to me.

The Womens' Fellowship are holding their annual Rally on Monday 15th May at 7.00 in the church. The guest speaker is Maureen McKelvey. More information speak to Brenda.

The Churches of the North East have arranged a family weekend on the 10th and 11th of June at Gateshead Stadium. The Sunday event features Jonathan Edward (member of Heaton B.C.)and George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury. It has been suggested that we go as a group following the morning service, have a picnic lunch at the stadium and leave around teatime. If you would like to attend the event please complete the tear-off section at the bottom of this page. We may be able to hire a coach if we have a good response, the event is free (tickets are required) therefore we would only need to pay for the transport. If we have a good number wishing to attend we may be able to subsidise the cost.

Can you offer your services as the Churches rep to the Churches Together group which meets 4 times a year. If yes please talk to me.
